IWC Watches is set to auction off a Big Pilot’s Watch Antoine De Saint Exupery (IW500420) edition for a charity. IWC has worked in the past with a French charity organization ad they continue to do so with this timepiece inspired by aviator Antoine De Saint Exupery. This exquisite watch features a power reserve indicator, IWC-created movement, and power reserves for one week. It is a handsome watch with a leather band, bold stylized numbers and a dial that matches the band.

The IWC Big Pilots Watch features a metallic dial, the same shade of tobacco brown as the strap, and the dial’s back features the aviator Sait Exupery in his military pilot’s uniform from the early 1940’s.
The Big Pilot’s watch by IWC will be auctioned off by Sothesby’s in Geneva on May 9th. The winning bidder will receive this gorgeous watch and a special edition “L’archange et l’ecrivain”, Saint Exupery’s biography. An impressive reserve price of 50,000 Swiss Francs has been set for this timepiece, and the proceeds of the auction will directly benefit the charity which seeks to preserve children’s rights.
“This reverence of Antoine de Saint Exupery’s life’s work in true aviator spirit is the crowning event in our four-part homage,” said IWC Chief Executive Officer Georges Kern. “The person who ultimately owns this prestigious timepiece will not only enjoy the distinction it embodies but through its purchase, can improve the developmental opportunities for needy children in Madagascar.”
